WELCOME

Hi, Welcome to my first homepage. I am Rye L. Meditar, connected with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Region 12, Cotabato City, Philippines. I'm a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the Ignatian College, Cotabato City. I am married to Abdilah S. Meditar. We have one beautiful child, Bai Samiyah Ameenah.

My advice to you cyberspace people is this (to quote St. Elmo):

"Ah Cyberspace, is it really all it's cracked up to be? There are a growing number of people going there, but what are they doing? Is being on the 'bleeding edge' a GOOD thing? My biggest advice: Have a purpose in mind after you start seeing what the digital planet is like. You can waste hours at a computer. If you thought TV was bad, try the Internet.

If your real life is deteriorating in quality at the expense of your online time, you should back away, rethink how and in what proportion you can use the Internet most advantageously. There is a balance which each individual has to find. 3D Interactive living has been called 'lucid dreaming' and a 'consensual hallucination'... don't fall into a rut here. The finest equipment and fastest connection in the world shouldn't affect you when it comes time to take care of your family or building real-world relationships. After all, what you are looking at on your screen is just a file ... the Internet is just a massive theoretical hard drive ... your PC is just a box, with most of it's components going through planned obsolescence. Don't be deceived. It's a THING, and THINGS are meant to be USED. PEOPLE are meant to be LOVED. Therein lies the difference.

If you do spend time on the Net, drive yourself to produce, to develop skills, to have goals. Use the many software sites to your advantage ... get to meet people in chat and learn from them..."
